In this tutorial I’ll show you one of my favourite techniques – dropping strong colour into a wet area and letting the paint do some of the work for you.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’ll experiment with dropping colour onto both wet and dry paper and see how the marks change from tiny dots and dashes to beautifully soft, feathery blooms. I’ll also show you how the wetness of the paper and strength of the paint control how far a colour spreads, giving you everything from gentle texture to a wonderful flood of pigment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThen we’ll bring gravity into the mix, tilting the paper and watching strong colours travel, merge and create spontaneous effects of their own.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of the hardest lessons in watercolour is knowing when to stop fiddling!
