About two-thirds of the way through this study, I realised that my paper sizing was compromised. If this happens to you, it could be that you haven't stored the paper properly, so it's a good idea to always keep your paper stored away from bright light and any source of acidity, as this can damage the paper. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI continued with this painting because sometimes you can get away with it, and I liked the effect as it gave the painting a slightly softer feel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnyway, this painting is all about making soft, small decisions in very gentle washes; the end effect is very pretty and captures the light of the moment. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this project, I will show you how I use the colours mixed for the main subject and soften it down for all the gentle smaller shadows.
