We are painting this flower in this tutorial and adding a background later on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is almost like painting a white flower where you look at the colour of the shadows and try to determine which are the colours of the flower and which are the colours of light against dark. The patterns are rather beautiful and a delight to paint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe look at soft and hard edges and adapt the colours across the flower, making little painterly decisions along the way.
