This festive feeling project is one I’ve had in my plans for some time. I took the photograph of this beautiful Quince found in a hedgerow, and to me it looked like it had wings. I love the way the light falls on the leaf and I love the rich fluffy golden body of the fruit. I’ve painted a really soft, warm grey background to this which you can choose to do or not, it’s up to you.

I hope you give this one a go and enjoy the techniques, the washes, and the buildup of colour.

Wishing you warm wishes and wings.
