The second stage of this flower, I think should be done over a few days, it is quite intense and you will need to repeat processes and colours precisely to achieve a coherent study.
One new tip is to dry brush with my fine liner, this has been an exciting revelation to me and I hope for you too. Having said that it is very addictive and exciting as the flower sharpens and comes to life on the page.
The stem and leaf are only lightly mapped in, as I hope to return to this painting with a picture making tutorial once the flower is back in season.
I am not entirely sure of this variety but it bears a close match to 'Candid' maybe this could be the start of a Chrysanthemum page or Chrysanthemum addiction, either way I know you will love building this incredible flower.
