Hello, lovely watercolour painters, here is a super subject all the way from Australia, though it may be a native plant that grows near you as well.

I love this subject for the textures. As you know, I find myself making up words for texture as I'm painting, and this project has really brought out my word creativity, so apologies to all my followers in different languages; this could be a challenging translation!

However, there are lots of lovely techniques and rich colours, washes and tricks of the trade, so do join me in painting this lovely seed pod adventure.

All the techniques can be applied to autumn finds throughout the world, so hopefully, you will find the approach useful for any other weathered project you may have on the go.
