Hello, lovely, painting people.
We are entering a spiky phase, beginning with the Sweet Chestnut case and nuts.
In this tutorial, I show you a way of painting the fine spines of the case and how to achieve a full spiky cover with foreshortening and weathering. The colours are wonderful and the subject intriguing.
I love these little treasures, and though they are not in season when this class goes live, I still think there are some good tips should you wish to paint other spiky plants.
Get your brushes on their tiptoes and off we go!
Wishing for peace always and time to paint.
Billy xx
