Amaryllis Bud - Preview

For this weeks tutorial we are painting a request from a student, a beautiful amaryllis bud, and can you believe I struggled to find one ready to paint! This tutorial is great practice for painting nice long thick stems, sounds easy but needs a little practice, it’s quite a complicated stem to paint. This is a great place to start in building your own composition, while the bud grew we have taken photos so we will be adding the plant in full bloom in a future tutorial, then we can complete the composition of bud and flower.
