Hi, this week's tutorial is runner beans, a nice addition to the recent beef tomato study, however, I have chosen to add it to my tomato and onion study page from way back.
This is placed in the beginner's section as the colours are all from my basic set of 6 colours and the repeating technique is one that is lovely for you to just 'have a go' and will teach you to gently wait for drying times and that interesting texture can be very simply achieved.
I love that this simple vegetable can be so therapeutic to paint. As you can see, I have made an 'x' design with mine and you could do the same, maybe add some more to make a beautiful design?
Don't rush the patterning and stay on your tip-toe.
