On this project we tie up the bouquet with some black grass. I use this grass (Ophiopogon planiscapus Nigrescens) in lots of my shoe paintings; it is so black and has a lovely sheen and you can bend it to help create shape and movement in a painting. Keep your brush on it's tiptoe all the time for this project.
