Hello lovely painters, after much deliberation I have decided to change the names of the tutorial categories. They will stay in the same place; beginners, intermediate, and advanced, but will be identified with 1, 2 or 3 brushes.
I am adding some text to explain what each section represents, and I’m hoping that this will give you the confidence to try something a little bit more adventurous.
What’s in a name?
Often, when something is described as intermediate or advanced, we can make assumptions that something is beyond our capabilities and that we can’t attempt it until we have grown bigger wings, so to speak.
I am a visual person and I imagine you are too, so I think our little paintbrush symbols will make you feel less trepidation and more adventurous to maybe give something a try... something you haven’t attempted before!
We never know what we can do till we try.
The tutorials in this category are considered by Billy to be great starter or refresh projects.
They are either shorter, simpler or explain techniques in stages.
The two brush projects are projects that you can dip into at any level and have a go.
They are in the main, full projects, but you can try the first part, paint them as many times as you can, paint parts of them or paint along with a similar plant. The choice is yours!
These are longer projects with more processes and detail. You can still have a go if you love the subject matter, and you can stop at any point and return after a rest.
These are here to stretch your skills and challenge you.
Try 1, try 2 or try 3, the choice is yours, just don’t give up and try again.
Try a bit of a tutorial or all of it!
Practice to perfection and beyond.
I will be with you all the way.
Let your brush dance along with me.
