Hello lovely students, this week something nice and simple from my garden. This pretty Dog Rose grows in abundance by my back door and is a source of great joy. This project will get you looking at very subtle colour and very subtle shadow. I've put it into the one brush section because I think it would be nice, if you've just started out, to practise with these very gentle washes.
The centre is a little bit more complicated, but with the use of the size 1 brush and a little bit of care, it will be a lovely introduction to detail. This time of the year is very busy, so a short project is just what we need.
You could put this into your sketchbooks or start a whole page of beautiful little simple Roses; they smell just as sweet.
Another idea is to dot these cute little flowers around a fuller Tea Rose as both decoration and contrast; let your creative ideas flow like the colours from a rainbow.
Wishing with all my 'wish allowance' for some rain and peace for all.
