Dry Poppy Seed Cage - Preview

Something a little different! I love the poppy seed cages when they are fully weathered, they look so magical, I hope you agree.

In this project, we only use 5 colours, but you can add more if you think it needs it.

We look at shades to create space, and dimension in 2D, and look to develop a quick but effective way of creating all the textures and patterns.

I have added my study to the black poppy portrait but it could stand alone painting or make a wonderful partner to our feather tutorials or dry seed studies.

This project falls as the first tutorial of 2024, so a big happy and healthy new year to all.
