Lords & Ladies Leaves - Preview

Hi lovely fellow painters, this week we return to the Lords and Ladies page to paint the pretty leaves. I think this arrangement is so lovely and it gives me the opportunity to show how to paint concave and convex sections of leaf, often a tricky thing to describe.

I have also used a sepia pen as an additional design aid, and a little trick to illustrate the soil.

I don't think you will find this tricky, in fact, I think it's a lovely little project for leaf practice and something fresh to add to your page. Play around with the composition and perhaps have a go at painting your own version. There are lots about but be careful not to pick them.
