Pink Peony Part 3 - Preview

As promised, I have returned to the peach peony painting to give it what I call 'a little touch of chintz'.

We are adding some twigs and rose buds and dark purple leaves to add prettiness to the posy. I show you how I paint strong contrasting light onto the leaves in a painterly way, to add light and interest to the picture. I talk about my simple process into placing and making my decisions on why I place things the way I do.

You can use these to compliment a simple two flower peony study, take the idea further with perhaps some peony buds, the variations are endless and the results will always be pretty.
