Hi there, this week we return to our complimentary page of small studies to look at yellow and purple.

I have a little crush on these colours at the moment. In this tutorial, we look at how mixing the complimentary colours together can be disappointing, or sometimes, on some occasions, very useful.

There are loads of early spring and summer blooms in these colour ways, so do have a go at creating some small compositions that celebrate the joy of opposite colours.
