Hi, lovely painters, this week's project is a stunning Conus Shell and some fragments of coral. I'm adding them to a lovely natural history page of shells, pebbles and seaweed. But you could do this as a one-off study.
Also, this week I am using some coloured pencil to add some final details and gentle shades of colour.
The shell is very beautiful with its lovely little spots of white; it is very absorbing to illustrate, so switch off and dive into this beautiful, intricate pattern. I have used the coral to fill in and add interest to the negative spaces on the overall design; you could do the same. You could add some seaweed from my back catalogue of tutorials. I'm hoping eventually that we can add some small but beautiful coastal plants to this arrangement in the not-too-distant future.
I hope you find some time and maybe some shells of your own to add to your sea treasure page.
Happiness and peace,
Billy x
