Pink Rhododendron Part 2 - Preview

Here in part two, we complete all the flower sections, add more detail and paint in the dramatic shadows that make this picture pop. We then paint, in a fairly loose way, the background including the dark leaves. I chose to keep these less detailed so that all the emphasis is on the play of light in the flowers.

I hope you enjoy painting as much I have, I hope your works will each hold a lovely individual look as the backgrounds are all interpreted in your own styles. Remember the background frames the flowers so be brave with your darks and see where that takes you.
