Hello lovely painters, this week's tutorial is a beautiful pale spring daffodil from an unusual perspective. We are painting it from underneath and backlit. The beauty of this tutorial is that it is an enlargement of the flower, and we get to use all four sizes of my green, fine-tipped brushes, and mix the prettiest colours.
I am using this study as the start of a large, square composition, and over the weeks, as we intermittently return to it, I will be discussing compositional choices and decisions along the way.
It's in the intermediate section but as always, if you like the look of it, have a try, and maybe repeat it several times for one of your practice study pages.
I am looking forward to seeing spring bloom in the forum, no matter where you are in the world.
Hope, peace and happiness
