Daffodil Leaves & Foreshortening - Preview

We return to the yellow composition, we have started with Daffodils, which I know have gone over at the time of publishing, but I wanted to re-do the twisted daffodil leaf tutorial and add a flower with foreshortened petals.

Here, I have discussed the process of understanding the roll of the leaf and demonstrated it on tracing paper, together with showing the mix of the beautiful blue-greens. I have also added a side view of another daffodil to help get the composition growing.

My initial plan was to paint a page of daffodils with you, but I have changed this to creating a page of yellow flowers through the year. These pretty daffodils are just the beginning to painting our own page of sunshine.
