This week I have returned to my large sheet with the daffodil paintings and in a slight deviation from my original plan, I am changing it to a composition of yellow flowers through the seasons. This way I will occasionally return to the painting to add a new and different yellow study. You can change the placement, add more flowers from of your own choosing, or follow me and learn why and how I put a page together. Hopefully you will learn to love painting yellow!
In this study, I have chosen two views and painted one paler than life to push it back and allow the facing flower to have more impact. It is a lovely design technique that i use occasionally, You have to image the colours as though they are washed out, it is tricky but fun to do.
