Grape Leaves - Preview

Hello, dear fellow, botanical painters.

This week we are painting grape leaves. I have one beautiful autumnal leaf and one fresh green leaf with shadow play across it.

These leaves are a lesson in slow process, colour building and some new ‘Billy’ language. We will be learning and using the following techniques - mapping, mopping, lifting, dropping, pushing, ‘smooshing’ and walking the brush.

If you are intrigued and want to join in and paint wonderful colourful fresh leaves in detail, then join me in working up these amazing grape leaves. Remember to treat your paper as gently as you would treat a baby lamb.
